Educational Performance Team (EPT) 
Hé jutia, weli-kish-ku! This is the page where you can find infomation about the Educational Performance Team, or better known as the EPT. The EPT is a team where we teach others of the custums and traditions of the Delaware Indians. We learn Delaware dancing, singing, stories, and so much more. | Q's and A's about the EPT: What is the main goal of the EPT? The goal or purpose of the team is to educate children about the rich culture and traditions of the Delaware (Lenne Lenape) Indians through out their history, legends, language, music, and dance. What can I do if I don't like to speak in front of people? We hope that the EPT will help you be able to speak infront of people in the future. One of the best things that you can do if you do not like to speak infront of people, is by dancing. Dancing is just showing people how the Delaware dance. | What do we do in EPT? There is so much that can be done in the EPT. We have a dancing group and a singing group as well. The stories that are told are great. Also, the knowledge that you learn is wonderful. I would have to say, that the biggest award would be the smile that you bring to those kids at Camp Riley. There is nothing better then making a kids day or even their week. What can I do to further my education of the Delaware? Our Chapter has a DVD that teaches you the language, , songs, custums, dances and much more. There are also books such as The Delaware Indians: A history by C.A. Weslager, which goes into great detail of the Delaware. |
